The ole Jeep isn't running well so I have been peddling around town. It's been nice and peaceful. I highly recommend walking or peddling. I have been able to enjoy sights, sounds and smells I would have missed zooming by in the Jeep.

Makes Me Smile

There are things in life we know will happen every day. One thing I can count on for sure is Sadie making her dad laugh. I think she has learned, at the age of three, that she is good at making people laugh. I absolutely love it! There are no absolutes for this little gal. I can't predict what she will do or say next. I love being her dad.

Sleeping in

I am up every morning at five o'clock. At around six thirty I will make my way to the kids rooms to start the wake up process. For Sarah, simply turning her light on and saying a quick "good morning" will do. For Tucker, I have to throw blankets off and grab him and stand him up. This morning we were graced with more snow and the news told me no school. My thought, "I will crawl back in bed and get some extra sleep". No sooner than I get the pillow just right do I hear two kids running across the house at five fifteen this morning. Why can't they get up on their own on a school morning! The unpredictability of kids makes fatherhood such a joy.

The Bathroom

Simple question. Why is it that any time I enter the bathroom, for any reason, all the kidos find the urge to follow suite? There are times I feel like I am taking a shower in a school hall! The door opens, closes, opens, closes, opens and stays open. Toys are brought in and Barbie and all her friends commence to cover the floor. If I pull a razor out to shave, the counter top instantly fills with curious, watchful eyes. The kids can have about 426 questions about shaving alone. There are a few times a nice hot shower and shave in peace would be nice, but I actually love the kids talking through a shower curtain or expecting an answer to one of their questions while I run a razor across my face. The joys of fatherhood.
